Discover our sensational single origin from Burundi: Izuba Ryamukona. Expect tangy, bright and uncannily nostalgic notes of strawberry, pink grapefruit and fizzy cola from this captivating African natural.
Grown on the Ryamukona hillside in Kayanza Province and processed at Izuba station (‘Izuba’ meaning “sun” in Kirundi), each volume of cherry sold to Izuba is recorded by producer and hillside, showing micro variances in profile from locations surrounding the washing station. Ryamukona is one of the three hills surrounding the Izuba station, situated close to Kibira National Park, benefiting from a rich volcanic soil and a climate optimized for premium coffee production. The cherry is dried for between 25 and 30 days, turned constantly when the sun is high and covered during the night.
