Description:
This lot was grown by members of the Mutheka Farmers Cooperative Society in the Central Highlands of Kenya - an area renowned for its lush greenery, rich volcanic soil and cooperative infrastructure. Carefully handpicking only the ripest of cherries, these smallholder farmers deliver their coffee same-day to the mill for sorting at the Kiandu processing station in Nyeri County, just west of Mt. Kenya.
The region boasts a strong reputation for distinctive, high-quality washed coffee due to its cool temperatures, fertile soil and high altitude. We selected this coffee for its vibrant acidity, full body and refined sweetness, and have roasted with care and precision to deliver a clean, balanced cup.
